What do you think about the proposal to change Dartmouth culture through a student-lead diversity curriculum? What should be included in the classes? How should they be organized? What challenges do you think there might be to this plan?

I think this is a wonderful, and much needed, change. I had never considered who should teach these classes but student-led discussions is a really great idea. Thinking about the worse case scenario, however, who should facilitate discussions if there are not enough student-leaders? Perhaps interested professors and staffs, maybe even outside specialists, could substitute (following appropriate training, of course). I also think the pass/fail option and requiring this course to be taken in order to graduate are great ideas. My last comment is that hazing and the intersection of various forms of discrimination should also be addressed in the courses. If there is anything I can do to help further this cause, email me.

I like that this is so important, you haven't finished nine months later.
